Welcome to Westerham Hill Baptist Church

We are a small, friendly evangelical Baptist Church striving to be bible centred in all we do.
Our aim is to make our Lord Jesus known and to know Him better ourselves.

We welcome all to come and share our services and to hear God speaking to us through
His Word.

We are members of the South East Gospel Partnership and the Baptist Union.

Please join us!

You will find our church will welcome you warmly. Our Sunday morning service starts at 11am.

If you cannot make the morning service we have an evening service which is just as inspiring and takes place at 6.30pm. Both services last for approximately an hour. All are welcome!

We also have a time of fellowship after every service where we enjoy tea and cake and a chat.

Other events to look forward to this year are our 'Hymns for a Summer Evening' at 6.00pm (please note new time) on Sunday 26th June which will be followed by lashings of tea and homemade cakes served in the pretty garden behind the chapel.

And don't forget our famous Harvest Buffet Supper. The church is always resplendent for Harvest, lovingly decorated to reflect the abundance of the surrounding countryside. After our Harvest Festival and 129th church anniversary service on Tuesday 4th October 2016 we can enjoy a feast of homemade delicacies. Even if you cannot make the Buffet Supper on the Tuesday we have a traditional Harvest Festival on Sunday 2nd October where the old, traditional Harvest hymns are sung and the church is a breathtaking sight to behold. Well worth a visit.

The young preachers from St Helens in London are back with us again in November and December 2016 and their visits are occasions that we look forward to greatly. More on the topic and actual dates later in the year.

Who we are

We are a welcoming congregation with members drawn from all sorts of backgrounds and ways of life.

If you would like further information on the life and work of the church in Westerham Hill please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via our contact page.

Our identity

We meet in Westerham Hill but we live in surrounding villages.

What unites us is our relationship with Jesus Christ. We have discovered that He is real – not just a real historical figure in the past but a living, personal God and He is the answer to our deepest needs and the fulfilment of our strongest longings.

Our aim is to share the Good News that all who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved and be equipped for service

Our purpose as a church

We are small in number currently. We come together on Sundays to worship God, to enjoy friendship with one another and to be inspired and challenged by preaching which releases the energy of the text of the Bible so it can transform our lives.

We want to give a warm welcome to everyone, especially to those who are new to either Christianity or the Westerham and Biggin Hill area. Why not come and visit us one Sunday?

What's on at Westerham Hill Baptist Church

Bible study and prayer
We meet together every Tuesday during term times from 7.45pm to 9pm.

We have some lively discussion and in depth study of passages or topics and once a month we set aside bible study for an evening of prayer.

Mike Moore is taking suggestions for topics for his next series of talks in early 2017. Mike is a regular and very popular speaker at our church and we thoroughly recommend his talks as they are always interesting and thought provoking.

Mothers and Toddlers
Our Mothers and Toddlers meet every Wednesday from 10am until 11-30am during term we meet and let the children play and the mums and dads chat. Everyone is welcome!

Communion
We take Communion during the 1st evening service and the 3rd morning service of the month. Communion is open to all believers in Jesus.
